Our Terms of Service

Our Full-Service Funeral Includes

  • Collection of the deceased from the place of death to our Premises. (Out of hours - Additional charges apply)

  • Arrangement of all the relevant paperwork.

  • Hygienic treatment of the Deceased -(Embalming).

  • Washing & Dressing of the deceased by our professional team or by the Family with our assistance.

  • A Lined Oak Veneered Coffin.

  • One Viewing of the deceased at our chapel of rest.

  • A full Cremation service at a date and time of your choice.

  • Funeral Director on the day of Cremation Service.

  • Hearse and attendant on the day of funeral.

  • 1 Hour service at your choice of venue or our Chapel of rest.

  • Collection of Ashes

 

Our Unattended & Reduce Fee Attended Service Includes

  • Collection of the deceased from the place of death to our Premises. (Out of hours - Additional charges apply)

  • Arrangement of all the relevant paperwork.

  • Hygienic treatment of the Deceased -(Embalming).

  • Washing & Dressing of the deceased by our professional team.

  • A standard Oak Coffin.

  • A Cremation on a day, time and Cemetery of our choice.

  • Transportation of the deceased to the Crematorium.

  • Cremation Fee.

  • Doctors Fee.

Please note that with the Unattended service choice Mourners, Priest, and Celebrants will not be able to attend the service. A private viewing can be arranged prior to the cremation at our Chapel of Rest for an additional cost of £150.00

  

Our Terms of Business

A deposit of 50% must be paid at time of arranging the Funeral.

The final balance must be paid 24 hours before the Funeral takes place.

Funeral will not take place unless full payment has been received.

What type of information do we collect?

We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page.  comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile.

Akshardham Funeral Directors is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.  

 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

At Akshardham Funeral Directors we thrive to provide the best service we can offer, If you feel we have not met your requirements or expected service level we invite you to write to us at info@akshardhamfd.com

Our standards for handling complaints

  • we treat all complaints seriously, whether they are made by letter or by email

  • you will be treated with courtesy and fairness at all times - we would hope, too, that you will be courteous and fair in your dealings with our staff at all times

  • we will treat your complaint in confidence.

  • we will deal with your complaint promptly - we will acknowledge receipt of a written complaint within 5 working days and we will send you a full reply within 20 working days of receipt

  • if we cannot send a full reply within 20 working days of receipt we will tell you the reason why and let you know when we will be able to reply in ful

 

Confidentiality

All complaints received will be dealt with confidentially and in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998.

We have a 2-stage complaints procedure. At each stage it will help us to resolve your complaint quickly if you can give us as much clear detail as possible, including any documents and correspondence and stating that you are making a complaint in line with our procedure.

The stages of the complaints procedure

 

Stage 1

This is the first opportunity for us to resolve a complainant’s dissatisfaction, and the majority of complaints will be resolved at this stage. In the first instance, we will try to get your complaint resolved by the Manging Director whom the complaint has been made. Upon receipt of your complaint we will contact the Managing Director and ask them to deal with your complaint.

 

Stage 2

If you are dissatisfied with this response you may request a review by the director of Akshardham Funeral Directors. Your request should be sent to info@akshardhamfd.com who will forward your request to the Company directors.

Timescales for handling a complaint

Stage 1 - maximum 28 working days

  • acknowledgement within 5 working days

  • full response within 28 working days

Stage 2 - maximum 28 working days

  • acknowledgement within 5 working days

  • full response within 28 working days

Extending time limits

We aim to complete all complaints within the timescales above; however, if a complaint is very complex it may occasionally be necessary to extend the time limit. If this is the case, we will keep the complainant informed of progress with the investigation, the reasons for the delay, and the new deadline.

Following any stage of the procedure, a complainant has a maximum of 28 days from the date of the final response to request that their complaint be progressed to the next stage.

 

If you remain dissatisfied

If having followed the 2 stages of our complaints procedure you still remain dissatisfied, you can ask to have your complaint reviewed externally by someone who does not work for Akshardham Funeral Directors 

You should contact Ombudsman. The Ombudsman can carry out independent investigations into complaints about independent businesses, agencies and some public bodies, including the Cabinet Office.
